You Need Video, But What Kind Do You Need?

Both brands and consumers are using social media platforms to create and consume video at rapidly increasing rate. It's estimated that the average person will spend 100 minutes every day watching online videos in 2021. With over 55% of social media users watching video daily, it's clear that if your brand doesn't incorporate video in some form or fashion, you'll be left behind.

So the question that many are asking is, "What Kind of Video Do I Need?"

Below we'll list out several types of video options we produce and the benefits of each

PROMOTIONAL

Promotional videos are produced with the intent to promote a specific marketing initiative, sale, or event. Promos are similar in style and tone to a teaser video, where you grab your audience’s attention and draw them in to learn more. Promo videos are great for attracting new visitors by building awareness online for upcoming events and promotions. If your viewers are new to your brand, a promo video can introduce them to your company by provoking their interest with your current promotion. For those who do know your brand, you can also engage current and recurring visitors by drawing them back in and giving them another reason to consider doing business with your company.

COMMERCIAL

A commercial video is a short-form video that briefly describes your product, service or brand promise. Their intent is to build up brand loyalty and inspire a call to action. The lines have blurred for commercial distribution, with many now being featured online in addition to television. Typically, commercials:

  • Seek to establish an emotional connection with your audience.

  • Feature professional onscreen and voice talent.

  • Have very high production quality.

  • Are distributed to a larger audience through targeted ad campaigns.

Investing in a commercial video production is worth considering when you want to reach a larger audience and are looking to increase brand awareness.

BEHIND THE SCENES

Behind The Scene videos, BTS for short, cover various stages of a brands journey, starting with the idea, planning, shooting, and equipment used to bring it all together. Viewers relate more to the uniqueness and authenticity of BTS content, which is the foundation of increased viewership and brand loyalty. Behind-the-scenes video helps you connect with your audience in a way that’s not possible through scripted content. BTS regularly helps humanize your brand. It also shows that your organization is not static and invites your clients in to grow with you.

INTERVIEW(TALKING-HEAD)

Interview style videos, commonly described as a talking-head, are filmed with a person talking directly into the camera as if addressing the viewer personally. A creative talking head video can do a lot for your business, whether you’re using it to publicize your brand, instruct employees, or sell a good or service. Talking heads are one of the most engaging and in-demand video types a brand can get produced.
